We added a new cabinet to Private Kitchen: music and science. Music for media generally reaches an audience. Behind compositions and creations lies an ever evolving layer of research & development. Science is indispensable in an era in which music is more and more created by the use of technology.

Research on compositions & music production is not only a job at universities: nowadays technological advancements for (media) music applications are more and more developed behind the scenes of blockbuster hollywood productions, triple A games and online platforms. But also in the hidden attics where composers operate: their connections to platforms and new technology offers them endless possibilities in finding new ways to create a music composition.

Composers are also constantly challenged: within an interlinked world, with a rapid evolution of data technology, algorithms and AI, the boundaries of their works constantly shift: and thisevelopment also leads to an ever growing area of competition with the same technology.
