FH Dortmund Master's: Creative Audio Director

The Creative Audio Director Master's programme brings together sound, design and technology in wide-ranging fields of application. The study programme expands the application possibilities and scientific reflection for audio-design far beyond the field of film sound-design.

The course covers all the creative and technical aspects that are necessary to develop and realise the right sound concept for specific application-related tasks.You will deal with sound-design for cinema and television films, sound branding, ambient sound, product sound-design and immersive audio.

This is a three-semester degree programme, taught bilingually in German and English. In 11 study modules, the course prepares the student for a range of careers including audio director (team leader), as a start-up entrepreneur in the creative industries, or as a teacher (doctoral candidate) in an academic context. The next intake is in Summer, 2023. The application deadline is 15 January 2023.
