Robert IJserinkhuijsen - Film composer

Robert IJserinkhuijsen is a Dutch composer. After receiving a bachelor’s degree in musicology at Utrecht University, he graduated in composition at the Prince Claus Conservatoire in Groningen. A passion for film and film music drove him to pursue composition. The interdisciplinary aspects of composing and collaborations with other creative individuals are especially appealing to him. Escapism is at the heart of it all – creating other worlds. Aside from pursuing film music, he has also made music for local art installations and exhibitions.

In 2022, he won the Golden Eye for ‘Best International Film Music 2022’ at the 10th International Film Music Competition held in Zurich, as part of the Zurich Film Festival. His score was performed live by the Tonhalle-Orchester Zürich.
